Terms and Conditions

1. LiveStreaming

1.0     To protect your privacy Studio20 LiveStream Services are provided on a dedicated, non-searchable webpage. From this page the Order of Service Booklet can be downloaded, the LiveStream and subsequent recording can be watched, and a guestbook can be made available where visitors can leave condolences. You can also see who viewed the stream. We supply you with a link (url) to this page. You will need to publish or distribute this link to anyone who is invited to view the stream. A password-protected page can be established for an additional layer of security if required.
1.1      We offer live assistance for people having common technical difficulties and will do our utmost to ensure that reception problems are overcome in a timely manner. However, we offer no guarantee. We encourage LiveStream viewers to set-up early and arrange personal assistance if they are not computer savvy. We also encourage users of our service to make use of the Test Video page (www.studio20.cc/TestVideo/) in the days before the LiveStream to identify and fix in advance any video or audio problems that may be encountered.
1.2     The LiveStream broadcast, Order of Service booklet (if supplied) and online guestbook entries will remain viewable for one month after the event. Should you wish to have a permanent record of this material you will need to download or copy and save it during this period.
1.3     The LiveStream will commence immediately before your advertised time and conclude when the service finishes.
1.4     For indoor venues we offer a premium standard service using three cameras, professional audio equipment and a triple-bonded cellular upload modem in addition to any wifi or LANs that may be available at the venue. Despite this redundancy if there is an interruption to the stream for whatever reason, the event is always recorded locally and the streamed content will be replaced as soon as practicable with the recorded version. Recordings made outside the venue, either before or afterward, may be added to the LiveStream recording in the hours after the event.
1.5     You accept that when we stream from an outside venue we generally do so under a shelter. If no covering is provided we may need to erect a shelter to protect our equipment from rain or excessive sunlight and heat. Excessive rain may also force us to limit the number of cameras deployed. Unforeseen weather events may prevent the recording and broadcast of the event entirely. We urge you to have a stand-by venue available in the event of inclement weather.
1.6     The internet is complex and complexity brings risk. When you engage Studio20 LiveStream you accept these risks. If internet connections, mobile or wifi, become compromised through unusual demand to weak signal strength, we will alert the LiveStream viewers and advise them that a recording will be uploaded on the LiveStream page as soon as practicable. We are not responsible for technical issues beyond our control. For example, some internet connections maybe too slow to support streaming, some countries and networks actively block or restrict video from overseas, like China for example or the internet services on airplanes and ships. If it is not possible for a viewer to watch the LiveStream via the dedicated page, we can provide an alternative link or provide instructions for the recording to be later downloaded via a proxy server.
1.7     We are able to offer drone coverage either before or after the service. Our drone operations are subject, without deviation, to CASA rules and regulations. Drone flight may not be possible due to wind or weather constraints. The decision to fly or not will be made solely by our CASA registered pilot. This is not part of our standard service and an extra charge will apply if drone footage is requested.
1.8     We will require access to the venue at least one hour before the service begins to set-up and conduct test checks. A loft or a mezzanine floor provides an ideal platform for our wide field cameras, vision switcher and modem. Please advise if access beforehand is not possible so we can make other arrangements. If a LiveStream is to be undertaken successively from two venues, say from a church and then the graveside, there will two separate broadcasts and a gap of time in-between. This gap will not be apparent in the recording viewed later but you will need to allow us some time to set-up at the second venue. If there is no time available at the second venue for a LiveStream set-up, we will film at the second venue and add this recording to the LiveStream recording made at the first venue within a few hours.
1.9     Bookings should be made on our booking page on the Studio20 website. When a booking is made you are formally agreeing to these terms and conditions. If we are commissioned to perform a LiveStream by an agent either verbally or in writing, i.e. a funeral director or event manager, you are accepting the terms and conditions stated here. Your booking will be confirmed by email. If there is a change of date or time or venue, or other changes on what was previously agreed, we must be advised as early as practicable. We will endeavour to accommodate your changes as much as possible.

2. Slideshow Video Production

2.0     Should you engage us to produce a slideshow-video you should follow the directions on the page titled: Instructions & Upload Page for a Slideshow Video. This is accessible by pushing the Upload link on the home page.
2.1     We need at least 48 hours to turn around your production. This means that all your picture files and music selections need to be uploaded at least 48 hours before the service start time. If you want your pictures shown in a specific order your picture files will need to be numbered otherwise they will be shown in random order. You will need to edit each photo before uploading if needed. You should upload your photos in 16:9 format, scaled to 300dpi or thereabouts and zoomed and cropped as needed. Our fee includes 2 hours of editing time. Unless requested otherwise we will provide you with a link to download the slideshow-video which will be in MP4 format that is readily playable on most computers.
2.2     You should save the slideshow-video to a USB memory stick or similar and bring it to the venue.
2.3     We urge you to test the slideshow-video on the machine that will be used at the venue. This could be your own personal laptop if brought to the the service. It remains your responsibility to start and stop the slideshow-video unless you have given that over to the funeral director or a family member. We cannot undertake responsibility for technical issues encountered at the venue. However, we will take responsibility for controlling the slideshow-video if we supply, install and operate a portable projection system for the service.
2.4.    If we are also engaged to conduct the LiveStream we will make one copy of the slideshow-video and play it directly and separately to the LiveStream viewers for best quality. This copy will appear within the LiveStream recording and is available for one month after the service. You will still need to arrange for someone to operate the slideshow-video at the venue.
2.5     Editorial changes to the slideshow-video will incur additional charges billed in hourly increments if the 2 hours of editing time allocated at the time of commission is exceeded.
2.6     If you upload to us a slideshow-video prepared by someone else we will include this directly in the LiveStream broadcast without incurring you an additional charge. You must ensure the file is uploaded to us at least 24 hours before the starting time of the service.

3. Overflow Solutions

3.0     When an overflow solution is offered by Studio20 we will install a temporary monitor or projector system in a room or hall adjacent or nearby to the venue. This typically occurs when the venue cannot accommodate the number of people attending the service. If you require an overflow solution you will need to provide us with at least 48 hours notice. An audio and video feed from the LiveStream is sent through to the overflow room. Ideally this is done by LAN or cable where possible. If this is not possible the feed will be sent via a commercial data network. In this case viewers watching the stream in the overflow room will encounter a short delay as the stream passes through the network. We test the network before the service starts and a technician will remain in the overflow room to resolve common issues. However, we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen issues arising from the integrity of the mobile networks provided by Telstra, Optus or Vodafone upon which our bonded-cellular service is based.
3.1     We do not permit control or operation of equipment supplied by us to anyone other than employees of Studio20 LiveStream.

4. Payment Terms

4.0      All our services must be paid for in full and in advance. Should you book us through an event planner or funeral director our services may be included in their invoice to you. In this case we will invoice the funeral director or planner for the amount owed to us.
4.1      After we receive your booking we will reply with a confirmatory email. This email will also contain an invoice clearly detailing our fees and charges for your specific needs.
4.2     We will refund your payment in full if you cancel your LiveStream funeral booking more than 24 hours before the starting time. For cancellations equal to or less than 24 hours before the starting time we will refund 50% of your payment to cover our expenses.  For bookings other than funerals 50% of the total fee is payable at the time of booking and the remaining 50% is payable 14 days before the event. If a cancellation for a booking other than a funeral is received 48 hours or less before the starting time a refund of 50% will be made.
4.3     Payment methods are detailed on our invoice. We accept payment by bank-transfer, PayID, and cash. We can accept payment by credit or debit card processed through our provider, Great Southern Bank. Payments received by card currently incur an additional processing fees of 1.7% plus 30 cents per transaction. No fee is charged for other payment methods.

5. Copyright and Privacy

5.0      Your privacy is important to us. Your instructions to us remain in confidence. The material you engage us to produce is only viewable to those people whom you pass the private webpage link to.
5.1     After one month from the date of service your private page which hosts your LiveStream recording, the slideshow-video, guestbook entries and any material you have uploaded to us will be deleted. If you wish to retain a copy of this material you are urged to download and save it within the month.
5.2     We securely retain your billing information for the period required by law. We do not retain or have access to your debit or credit card details when you pay an invoice through our banking provider.
5.3     You are responsible for complying with copyright regulations which may include reference to the copyright holder pertaining to music, performances, reading from written works and so on. You are also responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions for filming activities to be undertaken at the venue used for the service or event you have organised.
5.4     It is your responsibility to notify guests and attendees that the service will be recorded. We can accommodate the request of an attendee if they do not wish to be recorded. However, we will need to be notified of this in advance. The attendee may need to be seated in an off-camera position.
5.5     Unless instructed otherwise by you in writing we may use some appropriately curated video clips or images from your event to illustrate the kind of services we offer. This may include postings on our website or social media channels.
5.6     Copyright of the LiveStream is retained by Studio20 as the producer of the material. This gives us the right to make copies of the recorded material, to share the content via the internet, via electronic files or other media and to provide you, the client, permission to download the LiveStream recording for up to one month after it is made.

6. Force Majeure Situations and Liability

6.0.    In the unlikely event that we encounter a force majeure event due to situations beyond our reasonable control we will not accept liability for any expense incurred by you or harm caused by our inability to provide a Studio20 LiveStream service. Force majeure situations include but are not limited to severe weather events, unanticipated road closures, flooding, bushfires, terrorism, explosions, earthquakes, unexpected illness and vehicle collision or breakdown.
6.1     We will notify you immediately should such a situation occur and attempt to make alternative arrangements on your behalf for the LiveStream service you have commissioned us for.
6.2.    When you engage Studio20 LiveStream to provide a service you accept that we will bear no liability, regardless of cause, to compensate you for any loss or expenses you may encounter from a claim by a third-party; for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or anticipated savings you may encounter, or for any injury, loss of property, damage or expense you may encounter regardless of cause.
