We use three 4k-cameras in a standard set-up. Two are set up toward the rear of the venue, one is wide-field and the other for close-ups. A third camera is usually discreetly off to the side at the front of the venue. Sometimes an event warrants additional cameras such as musician close-ups for example. All cameras are tripod mounted. The front camera has a gimbal attached and is remote controlled from the rear.

Wireless microphones are set-up where appropriate, (on a lectern for example), and may be also worn by a celebrant or MC. Sound from live singers or musicians is captured and broadcast in stereo.

Vision switching, sound mixing and the connection to the internet is controlled by an operator located near the cameras at the back or centre of the venue. The 4k images from the cameras are downsampled to high definition for sharp and accurate colour reproduction before broadcast. We use a bonded cellular modem connection across three independent mobile connections if wifi or a fast local area network (LAN) is unavailable. Though not foolproof this does currently offer the most reliable means to get the signal out to viewers. If power fails or is unavailable our equipment will run with redundant battery supplies.

If there is an unexpected signal loss or internet outage during a LiveStream, a local recording is always made and posted as soon as practicable after the event.

The LiveStream is viewable only from a private webpage which has been rendered invisible to popular search engines. Only viewers with the correct page link (or URL) can watch the stream. We can issue a QR code in lieu of a URL if required.

If you have uploaded a program or service booklet to us earlier viewers are to download this from a dedicated link on the page. Viewers are also able to register their attendance at the LiveStream and leave a message in a guestbook should they want. The guestbook can either be ‘online’ where anyone who opens the page can see who has checked-in and left a message, or it can be ‘offline’ where attendees and their messages are only made available to the client.

Studio20 LiveStream can record limited additional footage outside a venue before or after an event and can offer drone coverage as well, immediately before or after a LiveStream. Typically additional footage like this is cut into the LiveStream footage and posted as a recording after the event. Drone operation is conducted by a CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) qualified and registered pilot and is not available in every location due to certain flight restrictions. Drone flights strictly operate according CASA rules and regulations.

Studio20 Livestream has developed a comprehensive approach to trouble shooting. We have a Test Video which allows viewers to verify that they can receive a LiveStream before the event. We have a detailed list of troubleshooting tips if there is a problem and we also offer live-chat technical support.

Short visual tributes compiled from photos or video clips have become a popular way to memorialize and celebrate a life. Many venues, churches and halls now have projectors or screens in-situ to show them. When produced by family or friends visual tributes can serve as a practical way to help cope with loss.

A typical presentation is between 4 and 8 minutes in length with slides changing every 5 seconds or so.

If you or a family member has already put together a visual tribute in MP4 (video) format please use our upload link and send it to us. It will be included in the LiveStream broadcast at no extra charge.

Should you engage us to produce a visual tribute you will need to follow the directions on the upload page. In summary you’ll need to select the photos, perhaps reorient, resize or crop them, and if you want them shown in a particular order they will each need to be numbered. You’ll also need to select one photo as the ‘holding slide’ which is viewable on the screen for most of the service. You may choose to show the images without music but if you require music, you will need to supply the YouTube links for the music want to use.

You will also need to engage someone to start the presentation at the right time. This might be the funeral director or someone else.

Please read the Terms and Conditions for additional information.

On the occasion where a venue is too small for an anticipated number of attendees an overflow space is sometimes booked to cater for larger numbers.

We can provide, set-up and operate a projector and screen, or monitor and sound system so that people in the overflow room can witness the event via the LiveStream capture as it is happening in the main venue.

Sometimes there is a short delay between the main venue and the overflow room depending on how the signal is sent.

Please read the Terms and Conditions for additional information.
